Catering Events Update

🍽️ Catering Marketplace Team

This August, we had the opportunity to support several larger gatherings, from team events to Open Houses, including events with 80+ guests. When additional support was needed, our team stepped in with setup and onsite coordination to help keep everything running smoothly.

🌱 More Choice on the Menu

We expanded our catering partner network this month based on client feedback and what we’re seeing across the market. This means more cuisines, greater variety for recurring programs, and more vegetarian and plant-forward options — an area many of our clients have asked us to expand.

💬 What Our Clients Said

“Love the current cuisine rotation, especially Chinese, Thai, Indian, and poke.”

“The team did so good, and the food was perfect! Thanks again for helping to make our event a success.”

“Today was such a hit — we LOVED the food.”

🍂 Coming Up: Seasonal Menus

  • Sep 15 – Oct 15 · Hispanic Heritage Month — DIY Taco Bar
  • Sep 25 · Mid-Autumn Festival — Chinese favorites & mooncakes
  • October · Halloween — Themed Happy Hour & festive add-ons

Product Update

⚙️ WeBox - Ordering & Reordering

One-tap reordering for regulars
Employees who frequently order the same dishes will now receive a nightly reorder reminder by text. They can simply reply to place their order—no login required—and the confirmation message includes the order number for easy reference.

Better-timed reminders
Reminders now arrive at 7:30 PM PT instead of 9:00 PM, with all information consolidated into a single message. Each reminder also carries the WeBox name, making it easier for employees to recognize.

Smarter suggestions
Recommendations are now more relevant and varied: the same dish won’t be suggested twice in a row, only meal items are recommended, and dishes are automatically excluded when the partner kitchen is closed. Pricing and pickup times also reflect each employee’s actual team setup.

WeBox - Pantry & Promotions

Find your exclusive deals
Program customers can now use the new Program Deals filter to easily browse offers available exclusively to them, with product images for a clearer shopping experience.

Always get the better price
When a Box Meal promotional price is lower than the program discount, Pantry automatically applies the promotional price so customers always receive the better deal.

Clearer discount rules
Promotional and program discounts no longer stack. The system automatically applies whichever discount offers the greater savings, while order details show the actual discount rate and shared pages display deal badges.

Guest orders included
Free service fee policies now apply to guest orders as well, ensuring the same fee benefits extend beyond registered users.

WeBox - Box Meal Client (Website / App)

Kosher-Friendly dietary filter (Website + App)
Kosher is now available as a dietary preference, with a one-time confirmation the first time it’s enabled, following the same pattern as Celiac. Dishes that meet the preference are also labeled Kosher-Friendly on their detail pages.

“Hide Sold Out” filter
A new one-click pill on the menu filter bar lets employees hide dishes that are sold out for the selected meal slot. When switching between meal slots, the filter automatically recalculates and keeps the item count in sync.

Category restrictions are now enforced consistently
Brand lists, the full brand set, and search results now all respect company-configured allowed and excluded brands and categories. Team settings and schedules can no longer override these restrictions.

Reviews load directly on desktop
Product reviews now continue loading within the left panel instead of opening in a separate popup, creating a smoother browsing experience.

Logistics Update

📍Order Progress Tracking

End-to-end customer visibility for offline procurement and delivery

  • Customers can now follow driver-shopping orders from shopping through final delivery instead of waiting for manual updates from CS or Ops. The experience supports both logged-in users and secure, login-free tracking links delivered through email.

    What’s new

  • Office Pantry now provides clear Track entry points from Upcoming Orders and My Orders.
  • T+0 customers can see item-level shopping progress, including Shopping, Found, Refund Processing, and Refunded.
  • Scheduled orders receive a simpler summary before delivery and expanded visibility once delivery begins.
  • Starting Delivery in the Driver App becomes the single trigger for Out for Delivery, customer notification, live map activation, and ETA tracking.
  • Customers receive a live driver map and dynamic ETA while delivery is in progress.
  • Delivered orders include proof-of-delivery photos, handoff notes, final item quantities, and a Request Refund entry.
  • Four automated email notifications cover shopping started, refund summary, out for delivery, and delivered.
  • Secure, per-order tracking tokens provide login-free access while minimizing exposed customer and driver information

    Why it matters

Customers gain visibility into an operational process that was previously largely invisible, reducing “Where is my order?” questions while making refunds, delivery progress, and proof of delivery much easier to understand.

📍Onsite Service

End-to-end support for Office Pantry onsite restocking

Onsite restocking is now productized as a complete operational workflow rather than being managed through manual coordination. From configuration and scheduling to driver execution, payroll, and customer billing, the entire service is now traceable within the platform.

     What’s new

  • CS can configure recurring service schedules, service addresses, durations, closure dates, and reusable setup templates with placement instructions.
  • The system automatically generates upcoming shifts on a rolling basis and safely responds to schedule changes.
  • Hub Leaders receive a weekly assignment view and can assign one or multiple drivers to each shift.
  • Drivers clock in and out through the App, follow a section-by-section setup checklist, and upload completion photos.
  • Multiple drivers can work from the same checklist with shared progress.
  • Offline execution is supported, with tasks completing only after all pending activity successfully syncs.
  • Driver pay and customer billing use the existing Time Card framework while separately tracking actual time, payable time, and billable time.
  • One-time onsite service can also be added directly during Pantry checkout.

    Why it matters

This turns onsite restocking into a scalable service that can be consistently scheduled, executed, verified, paid, and billed without relying on manual coordination across teams.
